We are in the season of Lent

Ordination & Confirmation Weekend

Ordination & Confirmation Weekend

8:30am  Regular Service w/ Bishop Ken
10am     Nate’s Ordination Service w/ Bishop Ken
5pm       Evensong
6pm       Confirmation Service w/ Bishop Ken

Dear Trinity,

Bishop Ken will be with us this weekend. This is a very special Sunday for a couple of reasons:

First: Nate’s Ordination
- We have a regular service on Sunday at 8:30, and then at 10am, Nate Kellogg is being ordained. Bishop Ken points out an important aspect of our diocese: Laity, not ordained clergy, are the primary ministers of the church. The church grows as all the people of God engage in the ministry that God has given us as a church. Nate is being ordained a deacon. Trinity Family, it is our privilege to celebrate Nate in this ordination - this office is him being called to love and empower us, the church, to go out into the world with God, sharing Christ’s love with our neighbors. Let’s all come together and celebrate what God has done in Nate’s life and what he will do in our lives as Nate receives this office.

Second: Confirmation Service - At 6pm, following Evensong, we will gather for a corporate time of worship through Scripture reading, prayer, and lots of music. About 10 people from our body will be confirmed that evening as they remember their baptisms in Christ as God’s beloved children and are prayed for by the bishop, who will give each of them a particular blessing as one of the priesthood of all believers. This is a time for all of us to remember and worship our God, who both unifies us as one body in Christ and equips us in particular ways to carry Christ’s love into the world.

Limited Coffee & Tea Service

with an invitation to join the team

Visiting over coffee and tea after service has been a long standing tradition at Trinity and has served as a great opportunity to be face to face with each other. This Sunday there will be coffee and tea available thanks to our hard working Fellowship Team (shout out to: Justin Erickson, Susan Gormley, Nancy and Terry Fike, Trevor and Crystal Sill, Jim Moore, Abe Bray, Jonathan Briggs, and Chad Horton).

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to offer this every Sunday due to the need to have more people on the team.  The commitment involves serving with another person by either making coffee, setting up for fellowship time, and hosting at the table after first service OR hosting the table after second service and then cleaning everything up. The schedule is flexible and you could volunteer once per month or less.  I invite you to consider if you would be willing and able to serve on the Fellowship Team. As we are formed in the love of the Trinity and freely naming our limits, we are free to respond with a joyful "yes" or a settled "no" as the Lord leads.

Together,
Karin Abbott
Teams Lead

Building Presentation

with Alex the English Architect

Pizza @ 6pm
Presentation @ 6:30pm

Alex will be flying in from England for his second trip to Wenatchee to present schematic plans for the building renovation! Come and see the first glimpse of the schematic design. Here’s the story so far…

Phase one was really imagining what could be. Those were the town meetings, the drawings many of us made, and the priorities we listed.

Phase two then translated what we imagined, and began see what is possible. That's the phase we are just finishing, and I hope you will come see the fruit.

We are now entering phase three, which is discerning what to do. This discernment process is just that. We are not obligated to do anything. We are free to choose what we discern to be best. (Philippians 1:10). We are free to wrestle with what God might want, what we believe should happen next, and how to fundraise to make these things possible - but only after we discern a vision that we believe in. So keep praying. Keep wondering, just like the Brethren did 100 years ago. And come and see what happens next.

Childcare will be provided.
Please indicate your need in the signup.

Budget Update

May 2025

With two months to go in our budget cycle, we wanted to give you an update on how things are looking. This past year, we increased our budget by 3.7% over last year’s actual income in order to meet the needs of our growing church. But with two months to go, we’re $71,000 behind where we need to be. Our overall budget for this year is $550K. Please consider giving a gift today!

You can give on our website or the new church app.

Giving Options:
  • No fee: Recurring Bill Pay via your bank**
  • 1%: ACH
  • 2.3%: Credit/Debit Card

**Have your bank automatically send recurring checks to Trinity Church as a “bill pay” recipient. This option avoid the fees, and it’s automatic so that you don’t have to remember to write checks every month.
