Pilgrimage + Building Presentation

Still Thinking About Joining the Pilgrimage?

Dear Trinity,

Still thinking about joining the pilgrimage? Come join us for the last leg at 2pm Sunday at Safeway Leavenworth. It’s a 4 mile walk to the Icicle Creek, where we’ll catch a bus back to the Safeway parking lot (and then you can drive to the Pick’s house where we are doing a potluck and evening service.

Review this Pilgrim Packet for more details.

As the capstone to the 2025 Wenatchee Camino, we will gather at Hannah and David Pick’s home at 18 Irwin Lane in Leavenworth (located off of E. Leavenworth Lane).

4:30 pm - Begin to gather at the Picks.
5:00 pm - Church Potluck begins! Please bring a main and/or side dish to share.
6:00 pm - Evening church service

There will be no church service that morning at Trinity.

A pilgrimage is a journey of reflection and spiritual growth. Please join us church as we journey face to face with God, our neighbors, and ourselves!

Building Presentation

with Alex the English Architect

Pizza @ 6pm
Presentation @ 6:30pm

Alex will be flying in from England for his second trip to Wenatchee to present schematic plans for the building renovation! Come and see the first glimpse of the schematic design. Here’s the story so far…

Phase one was really imagining what could be. Those were the town meetings, the drawings many of us made, and the priorities we listed.

Phase two then translated what we imagined, and began see what is possible. That's the phase we are just finishing, and I hope you will come see the fruit.

We are now entering phase three, which is discerning what to do. This discernment process is just that. We are not obligated to do anything. We are free to choose what we discern to be best. (Philippians 1:10). We are free to wrestle with what God might want, what we believe should happen next, and how to fundraise to make these things possible - but only after we discern a vision that we believe in. So keep praying. Keep wondering, just like the Brethren did 100 years ago. And come and see what happens next.

Childcare will be provided.
Please indicate your need in the signup.

George MacDonald Book Club

Sunday, June 22 @ 6:30pm

Everyone is invited to join in on the George MacDonald book club on June 22nd at the Canlis Home at 6:30pm.  We will be discussing The Seaboard Parish - the second book of "The Marshmallow Trilogy."

Please bring with you:
- initial reaction to the book
- favorite passage
- most personally challenging passage

Here is a brief description from the Cullen Collection edition of The Seaboard Parish, the second book in the "Marshmallows Trilogy":

Set in the Cornwall seaside town of Bude and inspired by a MacDonald family holiday a few years earlier, this novel continues the leisurely pastoral pace of minister Harry Walton’s family. Like Annals of a Quiet Neighbourhood, it was first written for “Sabbath reading” in the Sunday Magazine. Almost taking the form of a “family diary,” A Seaboard Parish is yet rich with spiritual insight. Many find more of MacDonald’s memorable nuggets of wisdom in this book than many other of his titles, a wealth deepened by the autobiographical nature of many of the incidents and relationships recounted.

Remember, you only need to read the MIDDLE book of the trilogy - you don't have to read the whole thing! If you want to catch up, you can join us and (if you want) read book 1 and 2 together.

  • Iona Canlis is looking for a part time nanny job while she is home mid-May to mid-July. She has LOADS of experience. Text Iona at 509-741-6433.

  • If anyone has any large ticket items they’d like to donate, the Canlis’ neighborhood is having a giant garage sale to defray legal costs. Contact Julie Canlis at 206-953-4128 to deliver. And come to the garage sale May 16-18 from 9-1pm each day.

  • Guy and Anni Evans’ neighbor is looking for someone to check the yard and gardens every 2 weeks. Remove any weeds, pick up tree branches, etc. Probably 2 to 4 hours. Around $20/hr. If interested, there would be other garden projects if they are agreeable.
